Don't Be Afraid to Fail.  Be afraid NOT to try.

React to this quote.  What does it mean to you?

  1. I think the quote is very inspirational. This quote tells you to try, and if you don't, be afraid of that. Basically, don't be afraid to try, be afraid to not try. If you don't take a shot, how will you know you can do it? For example, if you have the ball in a game of basketball, and you're right next to the hoop, you should shoot, and if you can't, at least you will know you have to try harder. And, if you can't get it the first time you tried, try, but try harder. You should live with this quote your entire life, it will help you succeed. To me, it is critical to live by this quote for guidance in your life...

  2. This quote to me means failing isn't the worst thing that can happen while doing something but not trying is the worst. I even have an example of this. Last summer I was trying my friend's ripstick (I don't know if that name realy exists but that's what she called it) she said it was impossible to fall off it so I tried it many times getting better each time but then one dark evening I tried it and of course an evil crack in the road had to come in my way and did what was impossible to do on what my friend calls a ripstick, I fell. I hit the road and the ripstick hit me. After this I didn't go on the ripstick so after that I've never rode a ripstick again which means I never got better at it. So this quote simply means try and fail but don't be afraid to try.

  3. I think the quote is very inspiring and it means that that be afraid to try something that you have failed before. For example, last year I got my first pogostick. I tired it everyday even though I never was able to master any skills. Then one day I actually was able to balance myself on it. Then I tried to do some jumping stunts. Just when I was about to land my first stunt BOOM! The balancing point of the pogostick slipped and I fell. After recovering from my injuries I knew that if I gave up nothing would have happened so I kept trying. That is one example of not being afraid fail.

  4. To me this quote means that not trying is worse than failing. If you fail, you will know that you have to try harder. But if you don't try, you will never know if you can do it, or even if you like it. For example, at first I thought that I would never get the hang of jumproping, but I practiced every day and soon I was able to skip backwards. I wasn't afraid to fail. There is one quote that really explains what I mean, " If at first you don't socced, try, try again."

    1. I have a quote like that too, Arya. It is: "If you don't get something the first time you try, try harder."

  5. This quote is very beneficial, and I think it means to always try your best. Even if you make a mistake, you learn from it and make sure to not do it again. But if you don’t try at all, then you will not learn. Failing is not the most horrible thing that can happen to you. If you don’t try at all, that is worse than failing. For example, at recess last year, I always saw my friends do the flips on the bars and it looked like so much fun, so I tried doing it. My first few times, I fell. But after around three weeks, I finally did it! But if I hadn’t tried and just gave up on my first try,I would not have been able to have fun with my friends.

  6. This quote tells me that not trying is worse than failing. It says to not be afraid of failing, but instead be afraid of not trying. If you try, you might not fail. If you don't try, you'll never know if you could do it. And if you do fail, it's better than not trying. This quote tells me that you should always try not being afraid of failing, because trying is how you learn. Quitting doesn't teach, trying does. If you fail, learn from it and be happy that you tried, and not sad that you failed.

  7. This means to me that even if you are afraid you will fail you should still try new things. If you don't try something you will spend the rest of your life wondering what could have been. As Ben Wick once said "Nothing to fear but fear itself."
