  1. "I shall live forever and ever and ever!" he cried grandly.
"I shall find out thousands and thousands of things.
I shall find out about people and creatures and everything
that grows--like Dickon--and I shall never stop making Magic.
I'm well! I'm well! I feel--I feel as if I want to shout
    out something--something thankful, joyful!"
    (Burnett, 326)
i like this quote because Colin is finally lively and positive. This is exactly how I want to be- cheerful and lively, with a love of the outdoor world.

  3. "Across the lawn came the Master of Misselthwaite and he looked as many of them had never seen him. And by his side with his side with his head up in the air and his eyes full of laughter walked as strongly and steadily as any boy in Yorkshire-
    Master Colin!
I liked this quote because this was the end quote and ends are always the best!

  5. I had also liked Diya's quote, and I think ends are the best. I have selected another quote:

"There was a brief fierce scramble, the rugs were tossed
on the ground, Dickon held Colin's arm, the thin
legs were out, the thin feet were on the grass.
Colin was standing upright--upright--as straight as an
arrow and looking strangely tall--his head thrown back
and his strange eyes flashing lightning. "Look at me!"
he flung up at Ben Weatherstaff. "Just look at me--you!
    Just look at me!(Burnett, 268)"

I selected this quote because I liked that Colin finally got the belief and courage to stand up straight.

  6. "'Perhaps I have been all wrong for ten years,' he said to himself. 'Ten years is a long time. It may be too late to do anything---quite too late. What have I been thinking of!' Of course this was the wrong Magic-- to begin by saying 'too late.' Even Colin could have told him that. But he knew nothing about Magic-- either black or white. This he had yet to learn. He wondered if Susan Sowerby had taken courage and written to him only because the motherly creature had realized that the boy was much worse--was fatally ill. If he had not been under the spell of the curious calmness which had possession of him he would have been more wretched than ever. But the calm had brought a sort of courage and hope with it. Instead of giving way to thoughts of the worst he actually found he was trying to believe in better things."

This is my favorite quote because this is when Mr. Craven became positive and was happy about his son.
